cover of the CD 'Beneath Southland Skies' Over the last decade and a half, leading New Zealand Singer -Songwriter - Guitarist Mike Brosnan has released six well received studio albums and in the process has established himself at the forefront of the burgeoning Roots Rock/Americana movement.

Touring incessantly throughout Europe, the US, and of course his native NZ, Brosnan has rightly become renowned for the strength of his live performance. And along the way he has developed a staunch legion of fans, many of whom are prepared to travel extended distances to catch one of his shows.

And it is these same fans who have consistently clamoured for a Mike Brosnan live album. With "Another Song for the Road" Brosnan delivers. And in spades!

Recorded in Germany in November 2007 (Also available on DVD) Brosnan chose to use the stripped-down format consisting of himself on vocals and acoustic guitar, plus his long-time sideman Gerd Vogel on 2nd guitar, and singer Heike Morbach on backing vocals. Even so, "Another Song for the Road" delivers a level of power and emotion that many full bands strive unsuccessfully to achieve.

All songs have consistently been audience favourites, including the previously unreleased "Hutt Bound Train."

Highly personal and fiercely honest in its delivery, Another Song for the Road is a brave new chapter in an ever unfolding story.
